Hot Wire
Stud, Part # EF-8
One
of the most effective means of reducing fence maintenance is to install a
hot wire on your fence. Should horse owners wish to incorporate this into
their fence we have made a provision in the Equi-Tee adapter. The
Hot Wire stud is installed by snapping and gluing it into the pre-drilled
hole on the face of the Clip-Top.
It
also works beautifully when attached to three or four rail polyvinyl fence
posts where a scare wire is necessary. We strongly urge horse owners
to utilize a polyrope, rather than steel hot wire to reduce the chance of
severe lacerations to the horse should an accident occur. The insulator is
available in bulk form as well as by the bag. For more information

Polyrope
Hotwire Part # PR-1
A
recent innovation in horse fencing safety is the introduction of a poly
rope interlaced with small stainless or tinned steel wires. In a
panic situation a vinyl fence is going to offer little resistance to a
determined horse running into it. To your horse installing a conventional
smooth wire is like installing a cheese cutter, and makes PVC into a
deadly fence. Because the steel wires in the poly rope are small they will
break, and this features allows a hot wire to be installed without
compromising the forgiving nature of your PVC fence. We strongly urge
horse owners to utilize a polyrope, rather a than steel hot wire to reduce
the chance of severe lacerations to the horse should an accident occur.

Securing
Pins, Part# EF-7
These
pins are what secures the rail to the Equi-Tee adapter. Rather than
notching the rail as is customary for vinyl post and rail applications, we
have chosen to use these pins because it
allows additional fence flex
without the rails popping out. It also requires no special tools to
install. Installation is
accomplished by drilling a 1/4 inch hole in the rail by using the adapter as a
guide. Slide the pin into the rail until the tabs lock. If the rail must
be removed, it can be released by cutting the pin with a hacksaw blade.

The
post clip is designed to securely fasten the EF-1 adapter to the T
post. It will fit medium (1.25 lb/ft) and heavy duty (1.33 lb/ft)
Posts. Since the various brands of posts have their studs places at
different intervals, this clip fits in a slot that allows it to be
adjusted. It is very secure and will withstand considerable abuse before
releasing.

Post
Cap,
Part # EF-10
One
of the concerns of horse owners when installing woven wire fencing is the
exposed T post top. This cap is designed to protect the horse from injury
should contact occur. It is constructed of very heavy wall material, and
will not disintegrate from exposure. It is firmly snapped into the
Equi-Tee assembly and is held in place by a tab. The entire assembly is
secured to the T post by the post clip. Once installed it takes a great
deal of effort to remove this cap. Even when subjected to horseplay
it will remain firmly attached to the post.
